Hi, I'm Claire

My name is Claire Gibbons, and I’m a simplicity-driven educator and higher ed consultant with first-hand experience as both a faculty and an administrator.

As a teacher, I am deeply knowledgeable in online instructional design, alternative grading practices, corequisite courses, and andragogical theories of teaching and learning. My graduate work in mathematics education provided me with subject matter expertise in qualitative research methods, classroom observation protocols, and the development of graduate teaching assistants. I’m especially passionate about helping faculty implement instructional practices that are innovative, authentic, effective, and equitable.

As an administrator, I am well-versed in best practices for institutional research, assessment, accreditation, and academic program review, and I have the thoughtful discernment required to make sense of competing interests across stakeholders, especially in community and technical college settings. I’m also a strong advocate for work-life balance (wait until you hear about my deep work calendar blocks and my zero-ish inbox).

The people I work with admire my honesty and my spreadsheets, and I love their commitment to always put students first. If you're looking for a thought partner who is highly organized, endlessly curious, and genuinely invested in meaningful change, I'd love to work with you.
